Nigerian Afrobeat musician Davido has addressed a public apology issued by his official streamer, Davrel, following criticism over an incident during a recent burial ceremony.

According to reports, Davrel faced backlash after a video surfaced from the weekend’s event in Edo State, where he was seen sitting in a chair that was reportedly reserved for Davido. In the video, he was also depicted with one leg positioned on the seat while Davido stood nearby, prompting someone to ask Davrel to vacate the chair.

Fans of Davido, known as the 30 Billion Gang, reacted strongly on social media, accusing Davrel of showing disrespect toward the artist.

Amid the fallout, Davrel took to social media to issue an apology to Davido’s fanbase. In the comments section of the apology, Davido advised Davrel to conduct himself with greater awareness now that he is part of the team, noting that public scrutiny is heightened.
