There was no legal marriage between us’ – Churchill tells Meurer amid marital crisis

Tonto Dikeh’s Ex-Husband Claims No Legal Marriage to Current Wife

Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of actress Tonto Dikeh, has asserted that he is not legally married to his current wife, Rosy Meurer. His statement comes amid growing speculation about a possible marital crisis.

Reports surfaced that Meurer filed for divorce following Churchill’s recent reconciliation with Dikeh, who has transitioned into an evangelist role.

In a series of Instagram posts Wednesday, Churchill dismissed the divorce claims as unfounded, maintaining that his relationship with Meurer lacked the legal formalities that would necessitate a divorce. He described their union as merely an introduction, contending that the notion of divorce is, therefore, groundless.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false,” he stated. “There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding.”

Churchill further questioned the legitimacy of the divorce filing, emphasizing the importance of proper legal procedure. “Any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served,” he added.

He expressed concern that Meurer is receiving misguided advice from individuals lacking experience in media matters and criticized the haste with which her legal representatives are operating. “I’m 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly,” he said, referencing the speed at which the alleged divorce documents were generated.

The situation continues to develop as both parties navigate the complexities of their personal lives.
