Those calling for the prosecution of the service chiefs are unpatriotic- Lai Mohammed

Minister of Data and Tradition, Lai Mohammed, has described Nigerians calling for the probe of the speedy previous service chiefs as unpatriotic.

 

Mohammed categorical his displeasure in regards to the calls by the Nigerians when he spoke throughout a Radio Nigeria programme, Politics Nationwide, on Tuesday morning February 2.

 

Final week, President Buhari had appointed 4 new service chiefs and relieved his former Service chiefs, Basic Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin (Chief of Defence Employees); Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (Chief of Military Employees); Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas (Chief of Naval Employees); and Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Chief of Air Employees).

 

Shortly after the navy officers have been relieved of their jobs, the Peoples Democratic Social gathering and another Nigerians referred to as for his or her probe.

 

Reacting to the calls, Lai throughout an interview on Radio, mentioned;

 

“To the most effective of my information, our service chiefs obey the principles of engagement and the place there are infractions, there are inner rules and inner mechanisms to handle them.

Those that are calling for the ex-service chiefs to be invited to ICC are unpatriotic individuals.

Those that discuss in regards to the construction, what do they know in regards to the construction of the navy? I don’t assume any of us is competent to speak in regards to the construction of the navy”
