Three abducted victims killed while attempting to escape from kidnappers? den in Kogi

Three kidnapped victims were killed while attempting to escape from their abductors in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen Sunday Karimi, who disclosed this in a statement to newsmen on Thursday, January 4, 2023, called on the State Commissioner of Police, Bertrand Onuoha, the Director State Security Services to urgently address the insecurity situation in Isanlu, Yagba East LGA. 

According to the statement titled: “Address the security situation in Isanlu and neighbouring communities”, the Senator said “more than 6 different people have been kidnapped in the last 48 hours,”

“Three people also lost their lives in Idofin and Isanlu in an attempt to escape from the kidnappers den,” 

Sen. Karimi commended the State Governor’s efforts in making lives and properties safe in the State.

He however, further called on the Police Commissioner and the DG SSS to rise to the occasion, do the needful in curbing the spate of kidnapping in Isanlu, Yagba East LGA.
