Tinubu to address Nigerians at 7am on 66th Independence anniversary
President Bola Tinubu is set to address the nation at 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, in observance of Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Onanuga urged television and radio stations, along with other electronic media outlets, to connect with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast of the address.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7 a.m., to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary,” the statement read.
