Nollywood Director Dimbo Atiya Passes Away
Dimbo Atiya, a prominent director in Nigeria’s film industry, has died. Atiya reportedly passed away on Thursday morning.
Seun Oloketuyi, founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards, confirmed the news via an Instagram post. “Dimbo Atiya is dead. The top Nollywood director passed on this morning. Details later,” Oloketuyi wrote.
Actor Mofe Duncan also expressed his sorrow on social media, sharing a photo of Atiya and stating, “God no, not Dimbo. I’m devastated. One of the greatest minds in the entertainment industry.”
As of this report, the cause of Atiya’s death remains unclear. His passing follows closely after the death of actress Tope Osoba, which was reported just hours earlier.
