Trabzonspor Sets €35 Million Price Tag for Defender Chibuike Nwaiwu
Trabzonspor has placed a €35 million valuation on Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, according to reports from DAILY POST.
Nwaiwu has drawn attention for his strong performances since joining the Turkish Super Lig team from Wolfsberger AC in Austria earlier this year. The 22-year-old defender not only excelled in his defensive responsibilities but also recorded three goals and one assist in 16 league appearances.
Additionally, Nwaiwu played a key role in Trabzonspor’s victory in the Turkish Cup final against Konyaspor.
Premier League club Fulham has emerged as a potential suitor for Nwaiwu; however, Trabzonspor is seeking a substantial fee for the player, per the Turkish news outlet Taka Gazete.
In anticipation of a potential departure, Trabzonspor has reportedly identified young Gambian defender Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh, currently with Tromsø IL, as a possible replacement.
