West Ham United Pursues Defender Chibuike Nwaiwu
West Ham United has expressed interest in Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, according to reports from DAILY POST.
Fulham currently leads the pursuit of the center-back, but West Ham has officially registered their interest in acquiring the player.
Reports indicate that West Ham’s initial bid of €30 million for Nwaiwu was rejected by Trabzonspor. The Turkish club has also dismissed two previous offers from Fulham, as they reportedly seek €35 million for the Nigeria international.
Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC in January. The 22-year-old defender made a notable impact in the latter part of last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 16 league appearances for Trabzonspor.
