Nigerian Army Neutralizes Three Terrorists in Zamfara State

ABUJA, Nigeria — Troops of the Nigerian Army, operating under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have neutralized three terrorists and recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition during a patrol in Zamfara State.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, the operation took place in the Birnin Magaji Local Government Area, encompassing the villages of Birnin Tsaba, Tsanu, and Dumburum.

The army reported establishing contact with the terrorists in Dumburum village. During the encounter, they neutralized three individuals described as terrorists.

The operation yielded a substantial haul of weaponry, including one AK-47 rifle, one SK-21 A1 machine gun, a locally manufactured handgun, and six AK-47 magazines. In addition, the troops recovered 123 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 179 rounds of 12.7 x 108mm linked ammunition, and 269 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.

There were no reported casualties among the troops during this operation.
