Troops recover 11 rustled cattle from suspected terrorists in Kaduna
Troops from the 4 Demo Battalion, engaged in Operation FANSAN YAMMA, recovered 11 stolen cattle from suspected terrorists in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported on X Tuesday that the recovery was made possible by credible intelligence regarding cattle-rustling activities in the Katabu Pole Wire village area.
According to the report, the soldiers were stationed at a checkpoint in Maraban Jos when they intercepted the suspects around 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday as the individuals attempted to transport the cattle.
Makama noted that when confronted by the troops, the terrorists exchanged gunfire, which ultimately forced them to abandon the livestock and flee the scene. The recovered cattle were later returned to their rightful owners by the military personnel.
