Troops rescue five abducted women in Katsina

Troops conducting Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Sector 2 have successfully rescued five women from abduction in the Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State, including a mother and her infant, military sources reported.
The operation was initiated based on intelligence regarding terrorist movements in the Madaci Forest. The military mobilized quickly, employing tactical maneuvers to intercept the group.
The operation reportedly caused disarray among the terrorists, allowing the rescue team to retrieve the victims safely. The women, who included three minors and young adults, were identified as residents of Danja and Funtua Local Government Areas.
Following the rescue, the victims were handed over to Abubakar Musa, Chairman of Bakori LGA, for reunification with their families.
In the wake of this operation, troops have intensified patrols in the region as part of ongoing efforts to maintain control of the forest and restrict the activities of terrorists and other criminal elements.
