Trump Prays With Supporters After Pleading Not Guilty To Federal Charges, Jake Tapper Can’t Handle It

On Tuesday, the former President Donald Trump joined supporters at a packed restaurant in Miami where they prayed for him and sang “Happy Birthday,” a scene that prompted a hissy fit from the CNN anchor Jake Tapper.

Trump was arraigned at a Miami courthouse earlier in the day where he pled “not guilty” to 37 federal charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home.

The charges include willfully retaining national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, making false statements, and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Shortly thereafter he made his way to Versailles, a restaurant specializing in Cuban cuisine. A fitting setting for a man who is clearly the target of his political opponent and being forcibly removed as competition, something you might see in a Communist country.

Supporters prayed over the Republican presidential candidate while he, in turn, promised “food for everyone!”

Supporters Pray For Trump

CNN’s Jake Tapper wasn’t thrilled with his network airing footage of Trump’s appearance where his supporters began to pray and sing to him.

But then, Tapper has a history of estrogen-fueled virtue signaling. Does anybody recall when he lectured Americans about the need for isolating and wearing a mask during the pandemic … “BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT ADULTS DO”?

Of course, he would eventually delete that tweet since nothing in it was factual and he came off looking like an uber-douche. Then there was the time he accused Trump of “trying to kill off his own supporters” by holding campaign rallies.

Anyway, enough reminiscing. The point is that Tapper has an extensive background in being a complete tool. And he fleshed out that resume once again by having a meltdown about Trump joining supporters after his arraignment.

“And as we watch Donald Trump attempt to turn his arrest and indictment into some sort of campaign commercial, we need to remember that the reason we are watching this is because Donald Trump is accused of breaking some very serious national security laws and then obstructing and refusing to cooperate with the FBI,” Tapper said.

Producers at CNN had already cut away from the gathering but Tapper still felt the need to whine about it.

“The folks in the control room, I don’t need to see any more of that. He’s trying to turn this into a spectacle, a campaign ad,” he scolded. “That’s enough of that.”

Tapper later spoke with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a serial liar, and said that the network would not carry remarks from former President Trump live because “frankly he says a lot of things that are not true and sometimes potentially dangerous.”

That’s right, a guy who works for a network that brought you fake Russia collusion stories, fake pandemic and vaccine stories, fake Steele dossier stories, and refused to run real Hunter Biden laptop stories, is suddenly concerned about the truth.

Trump Rips ‘Fake’ Tapper

Trump wasn’t a big fan of Tapper pulling away from coverage of supporters offering to pray for him at the Cuban restaurant.

Posting on his Truth Social media platform, the GOP frontrunner gave Tapper a new nickname and mocked his network over their horrifically low ratings.

“Fake Tapper just demanded that his broadcast be closed down from Miami because there was far too much enthusiasm on the streets for ‘Trump,’” he wrote. “The good news is, he was the only one to do so, perhaps a good explanation as to why CNN’s ratings are so low!”

CNN just canned their CEO less than one month after their employees had a virtual aneurysm because the network dared to host a town hall event with Trump. Tapper was one of those who was beside himself over the event.

“Mr. Trump’s first lie was told just seconds into the night,” Tapper said following the town hall. “And the falsehoods kept coming, fast and furious, about the January 6 insurrection, about the threat to Vice President Pence, about Pence’s ability to overturn the election, about Covid, about the economy, and more.”

Of course, as stated above, Tapper has his own history of battling the truth.

Ironically, the town hall event was seemingly the last time anybody watched CNN, with their ratings going into the tank ever since. The “most trusted name in news” now struggles to draw more viewers than Newsmax. Tapper’s sad display is one reason why.

Trump’s birthday, by the way, is today.
