Victor Boniface becomes Nigeria

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface has become Nigeria’s second most expensive player after his impressive start for Bayern Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga this season.

In the latest update by Transfermarkt, the Super Eagles star’s market value increased from €12m to €40m

The Nigerian international is now the second most expensive Nigerian player in the transfer market, with Victor Osimhen still top of the list.

Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen for €20m from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last transfer window and has blossomed into one of the most dreaded strikers in Europe.

His impressive tally of seven goals and three assists in eight Bundesliga games has seen him pick up the league’s Player of The Month and Rookie of The Month awards for August and September, while also earning nominations for Best Player of the Month in September.

The striker is currently Bundesliga’s third top scorer for the 2023/24 season with seven goals in eight games, behind VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who both have 14 and nine goals respectively.
