WAFCON 2026: Zambia to camp in Algeria for Super Falcons clash
Zambia’s Copper Queens to Prepare in Algeria for Women’s Africa Cup of Nations
Zambia’s national women’s football team, known as the Copper Queens, is set to establish a training camp in Algeria next week as they prepare for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
As part of their preparation, the team will participate in two friendly matches against Algeria. These games are scheduled for Sunday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 22.
Following the second friendly, both Zambia and Algeria will travel to Morocco together for the tournament.
Zambia has been placed in Group C, alongside the defending champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, as well as regional competitors Malawi and Egypt. The Copper Queens will begin their campaign against Egypt at the Stade Olympique de Rabat on Tuesday, July 28.
