Inspector-General of Police Celebrates Father’s Day

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, extended his greetings to fathers across Nigeria in recognition of Father’s Day.

In a statement issued by CSP Anietie Iniedu, the Force Public Relations Officer, Disu commended fathers for their essential roles in fostering family cohesion, social stability, and national development.

The IGP emphasized the importance of fathers in raising responsible citizens and strengthening the moral foundations vital for a peaceful society. He highlighted their commitment to nurturing children, upholding moral values, and instilling principles of discipline, integrity, and patriotism essential for nation-building.

Disu acknowledged the daily sacrifices made by fathers in guiding, protecting, and supporting their families, which he said contribute to the social fabric and overall progress of the nation.

Particularly, the IGP expressed gratitude toward police officers who balance their demanding roles with dedicated fatherhood. He recognized the challenges faced by these officers, who often spend extended hours away from home in service to the nation while remaining committed to their responsibilities as parents.

Disu wished all fathers good health, strength, wisdom, and fulfillment. He encouraged Nigerians to honor and appreciate the sacrifices and enduring contributions of fathers toward building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria.
