American rapper Nicki Minaj shared insights into her departure from regular church attendance during a recent appearance on The Bryce Crawford Podcast.
Minaj revealed that her decision to stop attending church coincided with her rising fame and success. She noted that her performance schedule, which typically includes working on Friday and Saturday nights, leaves her too fatigued to attend services on Sundays.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church,” Minaj said. “I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church.”
Despite stepping away from organized religion, Minaj emphasized that she maintains a strong relationship with God. She acknowledged the challenges of consistency in her spiritual life but expressed a commitment to personal growth.
“My faith keeps increasing over time as I continue to grow spiritually,” she added.
