Former NUPENG President Predicts Victory for Tinubu’s Campaign Council

Prince Williams Akporeha, the immediate past president of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), has expressed confidence in the newly appointed 108-member Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Abdulaziz Yari, to secure a victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming January 16, 2027, election.

In a statement released on Saturday, Akporeha praised Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State and current senator, as a seasoned and reliable leader. His recent appointment as Director-General of the campaign council has drawn significant attention within Nigeria’s political landscape as the 2027 election approaches.

Akporeha, who is also the National Coordinator of Working People United, emphasized that Yari’s leadership would bolster Tinubu’s electoral prospects. “Senator Abdulaziz Yari is a tested political leader with considerable experience in governance, party organization, and grassroots mobilization,” Akporeha stated. “His appointment demonstrates the confidence placed in his ability to lead this critical campaign.”

He asserted that Yari would bring discipline, strategic coordination, and vital political experience, ensuring that the campaign effectively communicates with Nigerians across all regions and sectors.
