‘Wise man should be willing to die for his woman’ – Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known professionally as Odumodublvck, has drawn attention for his controversial assertion that men who do not make significant sacrifices for their partners—including the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their lives—are “fools.”
In a recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, the artist, recognized for his hit “Wotowoto Seasoning,” expressed his views on the responsibilities of men in relationships. He stated that, as a Christian, he believes he should be willing to die for his partner, citing Biblical teachings that emphasize love and sacrifice.
“Any man who can’t die for his woman is foolish,” Odumodublvck said. “I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wives like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church.”
He elaborated on his perspective, saying, “I am probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus’ name, because my wife is younger than me. Why should she die before me? It doesn’t make any sense. I should die before my wife. And when I die, it is my wife who will take and distribute my wealth to my children so that there will be no issue. It is my wife that will continue my legacy.”
Despite his expressed commitment to supporting women, Odumodublvck claimed he has been unfairly labeled as a misogynist. “The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say. I am willing to die for my girlfriend; does that seem like what a misogynist would do?” he remarked.
The rapper’s comments have provoked varied reactions, highlighting the ongoing conversation around gender roles and expectations in contemporary relationships.
