I mean, come on – you can sense the smile on my face, I’m sure. So, this is Clean Genie Cleansing Butter from Wishful, the skin care arm of Huda Beauty. I seem to remember that the brand soft launched this a couple of years ago in a tiny size and while I’m not certain it was exactly the same formula as it is now, those little pots were definitely the precursor to this melting butter.

It’s good for all skin types – and eyes – although it’s mildly scented. It really is super melty and a little lighter in feel than other cleansing balms I’ve used but still sears through make up like a knife in butter. It’s a very effective cleanser made all the better by only needed a very small amount – a little goes a long way. On the box they suggest a ‘dime’ size amount but I think you need even less than that. The ingredient list includes green tea extract and cherry blossom extract – both useful in skin care for clarifying and conditioning.

If you’ve yet to dip into Wishful skin care I think this is a good place to start – you remove in the usual way, with a warm flannel before applying your regular skin care. It’s expensive at £31 HERE but you do get your money’s worth I think because of how little you need when using. Non-affiliate is HERE.
