Co-Players of the Week

 Angel Reese, LSU

Reese, recorded two double-doubles at Vanderbilt and against MSU to move into a tie with Sylvia Fowles for the LSU single-season record with 27 double-doubles. She recorded her fifth 20/20 game of the season against MSU. With a LSU record 28 rebounds on Jan. 5 and 26 rebounds against MSU on Sunday, Reese is the first SEC player in the NCAA era with 26+ rebounds in multiple games in her career. She has finished the regular season leading the SEC in both scoring (23.7 ppg) and rebounding (16.0 rpg).

 Aliyah Boston, South Carolina

Boston, was the team’s top scorer as Gamecocks clinched their seventh SEC Regular-Season Championship and became the fourth team in SEC history to finish the regular season undefeated. She celebrated Senior Day against Georgia with her fourth 20-point game and 18th double-double of the season. Boston posted 11 of her 25 points in the first quarter on 4-of-5 shooting in the period and capped the game with 10 fourth-quarter points to hold off any Georgia comeback. At Tennessee, she scored the game’s first four points to set the early tone and blocked four shots, including three in the second half to help stretch the Gamecocks’ four-point halftime lead.

Freshman of the Week

 Janiah Barker, Texas A&M

Barker, averaged 16.5 points with 4.0 rebounds and shot 57.1% from the field and a perfect 100% from beyond the arc this week, all while coming off the bench. She scored 16 points against Kentucky, helping lift the Aggies past the Wildcats, 74-67, in A&M’s home finale on Thursday. Barker scored another 17 points and grabbed six rebounds on the road against Arkansas. Barker led all freshman this week in scoring by at least seven points per game and was the only league rookie to average double-digits during the final week of the regular season.
