With the victory, Morocco is set to face France in the quarterfinals. The team remains unbeaten in the tournament, having finished second in their group behind Brazil with seven points during the group stage.
Prior to their match against Canada, Morocco triumphed over the Netherlands in the Round of 32, winning in a penalty shootout.
