‘You are daft’ — VeryDarkMan fires at Tinubu’s aide

Social Media Influencer Criticizes Government Amid AI Video Controversy
Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has publicly condemned a recent AI-generated video purportedly linked to him, directing his ire at presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga. Otse has accused the government of neglecting severe security issues in Nigeria.
This response follows an announcement by the Presidency on Wednesday, stating plans to pursue legal action against Otse for allegedly disseminating a fabricated audio clip of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The controversy intensified after a user on X, @Pious_minister, claimed that an AI-generated audio of the President had been incorporated into one of Otse’s video segments. In the audio, a voice resembling Tinubu purportedly suggested that Nigeria’s ongoing insecurity is a consequence of citizens not voting for him in the 2023 presidential election.
In a video response shared on his social media platform, Otse criticized Onanuga sharply, labeling him “stupid” and “daft,” while affirming he would not defend the disputed AI audio.
Otse further questioned the government’s silence regarding the recent abduction of teachers and students in Oyo State, where reports indicate that one of the kidnapped teachers was beheaded, as the victims remain missing on Children’s Day.
“Bayo Onanuga, you represent everything that is stupid,” Otse stated. “Why has there been no comment from you regarding the abduction? This is a serious issue, yet you focus on nonsense.”
As the situation unfolds, Otse’s remarks highlight growing frustration over the government’s response to ongoing security challenges in Nigeria.
