You’re Not A Witch – Angela Okorie Apologizes To Mercy Johnson

Nollywood Actress Angela Okorie Seeks Forgiveness from Mercy Johnson
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly sought forgiveness from her colleague, Mercy Johnson, as well as Johnson’s family, addressing past conflicts during a recent social media announcement.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, Okorie expressed gratitude to her fans for their ongoing support, recognizing her own imperfections. She noted that her personal growth and aging have shifted her perspective on various issues.
The message was primarily directed at Johnson and her family. Okorie stated that misunderstandings within the film industry were often exacerbated by third-party claims, which led to tension and public disagreements.
“I regret any hurt caused by my words or social media posts whenever Mercy Johnson’s name arose,” she said. Okorie emphasized that her decision to apologize was genuine, asserting that Johnson should not be subjected to negative labels.
Discussing their children, Okorie highlighted the unpredictability of the future, noting that their kids could potentially form friendships regardless of any past disputes. She condemned any form of bullying directed at Johnson’s children and affirmed her strong opposition to such behavior.
Okorie extended her apology to anyone she may have offended, whether knowingly or not. “I am a peaceful person who desires harmony,” she stated, outlining her intention to make amends.
This moment marks a new beginning in her relationship with Johnson, Okorie noted, as both actresses have already exchanged apologies privately and settled their differences.
Concluding her message, Okorie expressed no grudges against Johnson and conveyed her best wishes for Johnson’s success.
“I love you, and I pray for your continued progress,” she stated.
This public appeal follows reports that Okorie was arrested in Lagos by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department over allegations of cyberstalking, threats, and harassment. She was subsequently granted bail in the amount of ₦5 million.
