2027: Namadi forms mobilisation committees to reach aggrieved members

Jigawa State Governor Forms Committees to Strengthen Party Unity Ahead of Elections

DUTSE, Jigawa State — Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has established political mobilization committees across the state to enhance party unity and reconnect with the grassroots in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The formation of these committees, which will operate at the state, local government, and ward levels, was announced following a meeting attended by senior government officials, political appointees, and elected representatives at the Government House on Sunday.

Namadi emphasized that the initiative aims to keep the party strong, active, and united throughout the state. The committees will be tasked with engaging party supporters, addressing their concerns, and promoting broader participation in party activities.

“We know the party is intact, but we need to go back to the people again, talk to them, and explain what the government is doing so that people will continue to have confidence in the government,” Namadi said.

He added that the committees would also work to reconcile with dissatisfied members and re-engage those who have become inactive.

The state committee, chaired by the governor with the state party chairman serving as co-chairman, will oversee similar structures at the local government and ward levels.

The primary focus of the committees will be on strengthening party infrastructure, increasing voter and membership registration, identifying challenges, and maintaining positive relationships among members and stakeholders.
