JAMB releases Monday’s UTME results

JAMB Releases Results for 2026 UTME Candidates
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed the release and provided instructions for candidates to access their scores through the board’s official channels.
“The results for Monday, April 20, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement said. Candidates may retrieve their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 via SMS, using the phone number associated with their registration.
This release marks a continuation of daily announcements from JAMB since the UTME began on April 16. Over two million candidates are participating in this year’s computer-based tests across various centers nationwide. JAMB has been publishing results in batches corresponding to each examination day.
Previously, the board released results for candidates who tested on Thursday, followed by a combined batch for those who sat for the exam on Friday and Saturday. However, the release for Friday and Saturday candidates was delayed, prompting frustration among those awaiting their scores. JAMB later apologized for the delay, which was attributed to the absence of its chief executive due to official commitments.
Candidates are encouraged to utilize the established result-checking procedures to obtain their scores.
