Barcelona manager Hansi Flick addressed striker Robert Lewandowski’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season. The Poland international announced he would depart Camp Nou this summer once his contract expires in June.
During his tenure at Barcelona, Lewandowski has scored 119 goals in 191 matches. Flick expressed admiration for the forward, highlighting his professionalism and contributions to the team.
“It’s been a great chapter for him. For me, it’s been a privilege to work with him because he is a true professional,” Flick stated during a pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s upcoming match against Real Betis on Sunday night.
“He is a role model, which is why he is still performing at this level. Now, he wants a new challenge, and we respect that,” Flick added.
