Pastor Dolapo apologises for saying Arsenal is cursed, won’t win Premier League

Pastor Apologizes to Arsenal Fans After Comments on Club’s Fortune

DOLAPO LAWAL, the lead pastor of Zoe Household Global, has issued a public apology to Arsenal supporters following his controversial remarks that characterized the football club as “cursed.”

The apology comes in the wake of Arsenal’s Premier League victory on Tuesday, which has drawn attention to Pastor Lawal’s previous statements. In a video that has since gained traction on social media, he recanted his earlier comments and announced plans for a special thanksgiving service dedicated to Arsenal fans this Sunday across all church branches.

“Arsenal fans, special thanksgiving for you in Zoe Household on Sunday. Come with your jersey. This is my public apology and a special thanksgiving service across all Zoe Household campuses. Praise God. Congrats,” Lawal stated.

Reports suggest that nearly a month prior, during a sermon, he expressed a lack of faith in Arsenal’s ability to secure the Premier League title, asserting that the club was doomed to failure. He further advised women to be cautious if approached by Arsenal fans in a dating context.

“Arsenal cannot win. Didn’t I say it? You were here when I said it. I said three months ago that even if the gap is 29 points, Arsenal cannot win. There’s a way you will watch a club, you don’t need a prophet. And peradventure, if you are here as a lady, if an Arsenal fan should ask you out, it’s a bad sign. You need to check yourself,” he remarked at the time.

A video of the pastor’s apology is available for viewing on social media platforms.
