Transfer: Man Utd take final decision on Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United Confirms Captain Bruno Fernandes Will Not Be Sold

Manchester United has dismissed any speculation regarding the potential sale of captain Bruno Fernandes amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club has initiated discussions aimed at extending the contract of the Portuguese midfielder beyond this summer. Despite a £57 million release clause in his current contract, Manchester United remains committed to retaining the 31-year-old player.

Initial talks between the club and Fernandes have already occurred to solidify his future at Old Trafford. The midfielder’s contract is set to expire in June 2027.

Fernandes joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in January 2020 and was recently named the Premier League Player of the Season for 2025-26.
