Troops rescue four kidnapped victims while tracking bandit leader, Kachalla

Katsina State Government Confirms Rescue of Kidnapped Victims

KATSINA, Nigeria — The Katsina State Government announced Wednesday that Nigerian Army troops, engaged in operations to apprehend notorious bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani, have successfully rescued four individuals who had been kidnapped.

Dr. Nasir Mu’azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, identified the rescued victims as 62-year-old Musa Yakuba, 68-year-old Alhaji Sa’adu Dayi, 36-year-old Mukhtar Danja, and 50-year-old Salisu Danja. The rescues occurred during ongoing military operations in areas known to harbor criminal activity.

Following their retrieval, the victims underwent medical examinations to address gunshot injuries sustained during their captivity, according to the state’s statement.

The Katsina State Government expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Nigerian military and other security agencies involved in the rescue missions. Officials reassured residents of their commitment to ensuring public safety and stated that security forces will continue to pursue Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and other criminal elements in the region.
