NSP clears air on Mary Habila Physiotherapy status

Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy Confirms Status of Mary Habila
The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) issued a statement Thursday clarifying that Mary Habila is not a registered physiotherapist. The announcement was made via the organization’s official social media account.
According to the NSP, Habila’s name does not appear in their database of licensed practitioners. The statement emphasized the importance of accurate representation in regulated professions, particularly among public officials.
“Following verification through the appropriate regulatory channels, the name ‘Mary Habila’ does not appear in our database of registered physiotherapists,” the NSP stated.
The organization stressed the need for public officials to exercise diligence when associating individuals with professional titles, as the integrity of regulated professions is paramount. They encouraged the resolution of any ambiguities through established regulatory processes rather than speculation.
The NSP concluded the statement by expressing condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. “While it is critical to clarify facts, we must also remember the human tragedy involved,” the statement added. “We extend our sincere condolences and hope the family finds comfort during this difficult time.”
