Trump made right decision to designate Nigeria Country of Particular Concern – US congressman Riley Moore
U.S. Congressman Riley Moore praised former President Donald Trump’s decision to designate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) one year ago. This designation was made in light of ongoing violence against Christians in Nigeria and globally.
In a statement posted on his verified X account, Moore emphasized the alarming severity of violence faced by Christians. He expressed particular concern for the situation in Nigeria, where he claimed that Christians endure relentless persecution.
The remarks coincided with the anniversary of a global observance of Christian persecution. On this occasion, Moore called for renewed international efforts to safeguard the rights and safety of Christians everywhere.
“On this anniversary, we must rededicate our efforts to defend Christians in Nigeria and anywhere they face persecution,” Moore stated. He urged both the international community and the Nigerian government to implement measures aimed at protecting religious minorities and ending acts of violence against them.
