CAF Champions League: Rangers walk tight rope after home draw against Sobemap

Rangers and AS Sobemap played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie on Sunday at the Moshood Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta.

The match began with the Flying Antelopes asserting their dominance, pressing the visitors defensively. Rangers seized an early lead when Iwundu Chidozie scored in the 23rd minute, putting them ahead 1-0.

However, AS Sobemap responded with an equalizer shortly after the second half began, stunning the home side. Despite Rangers’ efforts to reclaim the lead, the visitors stood firm defensively to secure the draw.
