2027: Tinubu’s win gap over opponents will be unbelievable — Bwala

By Adegboyega Adeleye

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, expressed optimism regarding Tinubu’s prospects in the 2027 presidential election. Bwala stated he believes the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate will achieve a significant margin over his opponents.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Bwala addressed concerns about the narrow victory Tinubu secured in the 2023 election, suggesting that similar challenges had existed prior to that election. He noted that many obstacles were present at the time, including a lack of support from certain political factions.

“The odds were not in his favor,” Bwala said, referencing the circumstances leading to the 2023 election. He highlighted policies introduced shortly before the election that he claimed were detrimental to Tinubu’s campaign and described a sense of discontent among some governors.

Bwala also remarked that the challenges extended to the APC’s presidential primary, where he indicated Tinubu had faced considerable opposition. “He could have been rigged out,” he asserted.

Highlighting the shift in support, Bwala noted the backing Tinubu garnered from several governors, especially in the North-East region. “We recovered a lot of the governors of the North-East,” he stated.

In a bold prediction for the upcoming election, Bwala forecasted a substantial victory margin for Tinubu in 2027. “The gap that President Bola Tinubu will give each and every one of these candidates will be so much that you won’t believe it,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of gubernatorial support, arguing that these leaders have considerable influence over political infrastructures within their states. “The governors are Chief Executive Officers of their respective states; they coordinate the structures of the state and won their election to be governors,” Bwala added.
