Alleged substance abuse: Emeka Rollas apologises for testifying against Regina Daniels

Emeka Rollas, the former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has publicly apologized to actress Regina Daniels and her family for his previous testimony against her amid her conflict with Senator Ned Nwoko.
The apology comes nearly a year after Rollas alleged that Daniels abused substances on movie sets, claiming she was in need of help. He had identified several prominent actors, including Jide Kosoko, Charles Inojie, and Okey Bakassi, as witnesses to these incidents.
In response to Rollas’s statements, Daniels criticized him, suggesting that he was unfit to comment and accusing him of financial misconduct.
On Thursday, Rollas addressed the situation through a post on his Instagram account, expressing regret over the timing and manner of his earlier remarks. “I regret the timing, the platform and the manner in which I handled it,” he stated. “I made those statements at a time when a family was going through a deeply personal and difficult period. I shouldn’t have taken that path.”
He further stated, “Without excuses or conditions, I sincerely apologize to Mrs. Rita Daniels’ family, Regina Daniels, Senator Ned Nwoko, the AGN Board of Trustees, and all my colleagues whose names I mentioned.”
Rollas acknowledged his humanity and admitted to having made a mistake.
