Musician Rolex Dee Released on Bail After Nearly Two Months

Musician Rolex Dee has regained his freedom nearly two months after being granted bail set at 100 million naira. His release was confirmed on social media by MC Bokujaka, who has been a prominent advocate for the “Free Rolex Dee” campaign.

In a series of videos posted on Tuesday, MC Bokujaka expressed joy over Rolex Dee’s release, stating, “This is a moment of relief for his family, friends, supporters, and everyone who has been calling for his release.”

He acknowledged the extensive discussions and controversies surrounding the case, emphasizing the hope that all parties can now move forward peacefully.

Rolex Dee was originally arrested in April 2026 on allegations of defaming Fuji musician Taye Currency during an interview on the Agbaletu program. Although he was initially released, he was rearrested in early July after police lured him from Lagos under the pretense of a reconciliation meeting.
