2027: Amid political backlash trailing Davido, Israel DMW declares support for Atiku

Singer Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has expressed his support for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in the lead-up to the 2027 elections. This declaration comes amid ongoing scrutiny regarding Davido’s political views.

On Friday, Israel shared his endorsement through an Instagram post featuring a photo of Abubakar. In his message, he emphasized the importance of northern leadership, raising questions about contract allocations and governance.

“I’m voting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. INEC should please allow Nigerians to freely choose whoever they want to govern them in January 2027,” Israel wrote. He urged the public to disregard what he termed as inflated voting numbers from Edo State, referencing the popularity of former governor Adams Oshiomhole and questioning the electoral performance of his party in recent presidential elections.
