Europa League: Ndidi lauds Beşiktaş’ performance in Crystal Palace draw
Wilfred Ndidi, captain of the Super Eagles, expressed his thoughts following Beşiktaş’s hard-fought 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. The match, held at Beşiktaş’s home ground, marked the team’s continued unbeaten streak in the group stage of the tournament.
Ndidi opened the scoring for Beşiktaş just before halftime, giving the Black Eagles a brief lead. However, Crystal Palace equalized and took the lead in the second half. Late in the match, substitute Junior Olaïtan scored to secure a point for Beşiktaş.
Reflecting on the match, Ndidi commended his team for their performance. “I can say it was a good match. We started slowly in the first half, but we gained momentum and scored the goal. The same thing happened in the second half. Overall, it was a good match,” he stated after the game.
