Police arrest suspect, recover stolen Lexus in Cross River

Police in Cross River State have arrested a 36-year-old man, Pius Enwa Aidan, in connection with the theft of a Lexus RX 330, which was allegedly taken from a car wash in Enugu State.

Aidan was apprehended at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Friday along Ikpi Street in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, just two hours after authorities received a distress report regarding the stolen vehicle. According to the Cross River State Police Command, the black Lexus RX 330 was reported stolen on November 5, 2026, and its last known location was traced to Ugep.

Detectives from the Yakurr Division initiated a tracking operation following the report, leading to both the suspect’s arrest and the recovery of the vehicle.

The Lexus has been secured at the police station, and Aidan remains in custody as investigators examine the circumstances surrounding the theft and explore the potential involvement of additional suspects.
