Four Abducted by Suspected Kidnappers in Oyo State
OYO STATE, Nigeria — Four individuals were reported abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers along the Igbeti-Kishi Road on Wednesday evening.
As of Thursday morning, the whereabouts of the victims remain unknown. Olayinka Ayanlade, the Public Relations Officer for the Oyo State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that law enforcement is actively working to secure the victims’ release.
In a statement, Ayanlade emphasized that the police are committed to apprehending the suspects involved in the abductions. “Upon receipt of the information, the Commissioner of Police instructed the Divisional Police Officers of the Kishi and Igbeti Divisions, along with support from tactical teams, to deploy all necessary operational assets for the safe rescue of the victims and the prompt arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators,” he said.
The Oyo State Police Command continues to prioritize efforts to address this serious incident.
