Truck Accident Disrupts Traffic on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
LAGOS—A truck overturned on the Otedola Bridge early Wednesday morning, causing significant traffic delays on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that the accident occurred around 7:00 a.m. The truck was carrying two 20-foot containers and consequently blocked nearly 90% of the roadway, leaving only one lane accessible for vehicles.
As a result of the incident, motorists traveling toward Lagos are experiencing severe delays. LASTMA personnel quickly arrived at the scene to manage traffic and assist stranded drivers.
A recovery vehicle has been dispatched to remove the overturned truck and restore normal traffic flow. In the meantime, drivers are advised to seek alternative routes until the roadway is fully cleared.
