Legal Action Filed Against Presidential Foreign Promotion Council Director General

Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has initiated a legal lawsuit against Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director General of the Presidential Foreign Promotion Council.

In the suit submitted to a Federal Capital Territory high court, Gbajabiamila alleges defamation by Adeyemi. He is seeking 10 billion naira in general damages, 5 billion naira for aggravated damages, and 200 million naira to cover legal costs. Additionally, he is requesting a court order requiring Adeyemi to issue a full retraction and apology in five national newspapers.
