Colleagues raise concern over Jerry Williams’ worsening condition amid alleged battle with drugs

Nollywood filmmaker Izutech and actor Stanley Ontop have expressed serious concerns regarding their colleague Jerry Williams’ mental health as he continues to struggle with drug addiction. The alarm comes a year after Izutech assisted Williams in entering rehabilitation.

Both Izutech and Ontop have noted a deterioration in Williams’ condition despite his previous rehabilitation, stating that he has refused to attend follow-up check-ups. Izutech indicated that there may be additional spiritual factors at play in Williams’ situation.

In a recent Instagram post, Izutech shared a photo of Williams while in police custody, appearing disheveled. He mentioned that he is currently coordinating with authorities to facilitate Williams’ transfer to another rehabilitation facility.

“I have to share this because it is not just one person raising concerns,” Izutech wrote. “Please forgive him, but it is clear that Jerry needs love and support right now. Anyone he claims to be fine should not be believed, as he may not be aware of his own condition.”

Izutech further remarked that he has reached out to Williams’ family and is awaiting their response. He expressed determination to ensure that Williams receives long-term rehabilitation, stating that if necessary, he would publicize the matter further to galvanize support.

Stanley Ontop also voiced his concerns, questioning the film industry’s awareness of Williams’ situation.

Responses in the comments section of Izutech’s post reflected a mix of concern and opinions. One user suggested that Williams’ family should seek spiritual help, while another urged for immediate assistance, stating, “He really needs help.” Others weighed in, attributing Williams’ struggles to drug addiction rather than any spiritual cause.

The ongoing situation underscores the challenges faced by individuals battling addiction and the importance of community support in these cases.
