Family announces actor Francis Duru’s burial arrangements
The family of actor Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru announced his funeral arrangements in a statement on his official Instagram page on Monday. The statement, signed by his sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and his eldest son, Ebuka Duru, revealed that he will be laid to rest at the family compound in Imo State on December 11, 2026.
In honor of the late actor, the family has invited the public to a service of songs scheduled for November 25, 2026, at the Family Worship Center located on Idris Gidado Street in Wuye, Abuja.
Details from the statement indicated that the Abuja service will take place at 5:00 PM, followed by a service in Imo State on December 10 at the family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano. The funeral and interment will be held the following day, December 11, 2026, in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano.
Daily Post has reported that Duru, aged 59, passed away on October 22, 2026, after a battle with an undisclosed illness.
