Fear grips Mada Station as kidnappings escalate in Nasarawa Eggon

Residents of Mada Station in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, are expressing growing concern over a rise in kidnapping incidents within their community. In recent days, several abductions have heightened fears for residents’ safety.
Micah Kuje, a local resident, reported on Facebook Thursday that two individuals were abducted from Angwan Mission two days prior. Additionally, he claimed that Mr. Solomon Musa Ogah, a local secondary school teacher, was taken during an incident early Thursday morning.
According to Kuje, the victims remain in captivity as of the time of his post, leading to renewed calls for immediate security intervention.
Kuje urged the Nasarawa State Government and law enforcement agencies to take prompt action to address the escalating threat, emphasizing that the protection of lives and property is a core responsibility of the government.
He specifically called on Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala, the lawmaker representing Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency, as well as relevant state and local officials, to intensify efforts to ensure the safety of the community and facilitate the return of the victims.
“The people of Mada Station are no longer safe. We are living in fear and we need urgent security intervention,” Kuje stated.
He also expressed hope for the safe and swift release of those who have been taken.
