Footage of ‘PFIPC DG’ Adeniyi Adeyemi challenging Gbajabiamila resurfaces [VIDEO]
Old Video of Prince Adeyemi Revives Controversy Over Alleged Fund Mismanagement
An archived video featuring Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, who claims to be the Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), resurfaced on Monday, reigniting discussions regarding an alleged N1.3 billion fund linked to the agency, which critics have labeled a “ghost agency.”
In the footage from a press conference held in late June 2026, Adeyemi questioned the existence of the PFIPC, challenging the Presidency’s denials. He specifically addressed President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, about the agency’s status.
“How does a non-existent agency appear in official budget documents?” Adeyemi asked during the press conference. He emphasized that official budgets must go through the Budget Office, various ministries, and the National Assembly, raising concerns over how PFIPC was documented in these records.
Adeyemi also alleged that the PFIPC operates numerous accounts at the Central Bank of Nigeria, including domiciliary and pounds sterling accounts. “Is it possible to open accounts with fake documents at CBN, let alone a commercial bank?” he questioned.
Additionally, he accused Gbajabiamila of demanding a significant portion of the council’s proposed N27.4 billion take-off grant, claiming the Chief of Staff sought approximately N12.5 billion.
The Presidency has consistently refuted these allegations, maintaining that the PFIPC lacks legal standing and was never established by the Federal Government.
