Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe recently opened up about experiences of exclusion from baby showers, naming ceremonies, and children’s birthday parties prior to becoming a mother. In a post shared on social media, Bimpe reflected on her journey to motherhood and offered encouragement to women currently trying to conceive.
The actress revealed that some individuals she knew personally chose not to include her in these family-oriented celebrations, a decision she later found particularly painful.
“There was a time when I wasn’t invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, children’s birthdays, or anything related to kids,” Bimpe shared. She expressed her love for children and her desire to celebrate these milestones with others rather than feeling a sense of pity.
Bimpe emphasized the importance of inclusivity, urging others not to make the experience more difficult for women awaiting motherhood. “Please don’t make it harder by excluding people. A woman without a child is not less deserving of love, friendship, inclusion, or celebration,” she stated.
Drawing from her personal journey, Bimpe encouraged women who are trying to conceive to persevere, noting her transformation from a woman without children to a proud mother of triplets. “The same God who remembered me has not forgotten you,” she advised those still waiting for children, underscoring the possibility of change in one’s circumstances.
