Oyo 2027: PDP announces Aderoju as Gbolarumi’s running mate

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has selected Prince Emmanuel Ademola Aderoju as its deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This announcement was made in a statement issued by the party’s chairman, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso, on Sunday evening.
Aderoju will serve alongside the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Hazeem Gbolarumi. According to Akinoso, the decision to appoint Aderoju was based on his qualifications and prior experience.
Aderoju, a resident of Ofiki in the Oke-Ogun geopolitical zone, is 67 years old as of October 10, 2026. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, in addition to being a certified information systems auditor.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Calabar, where he graduated as the top student, receiving the Elumelu Legacy Prize for excellence in business administration.
