IBADAN, Nigeria — The Oyo State Police Command has apprehended four individuals linked to various criminal activities in a recent operation in Ibadan, the state capital.
The arrests, confirmed by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade, were made following actionable intelligence. The suspects, identified as Salawu Sarafa, Yusuf Tajudeen, Farouq Ariyo, and Adebayo Awosemo, are believed to be members of a cult group that has been causing unrest in the area.
Police recovered several items during the operation, which are now being processed as evidence. The suspects are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
Ayanlade noted that the police acted promptly to address the threats posed by the gang to the local community. Further details regarding the investigation have not yet been released.
