Tinubu fixing Nigeria, things now better – Jide Kosoko

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has publicly defended the administration of President Bola Tinubu, asserting that the current government is actively addressing the nation’s challenges.

In a recent interview on the podcast Talk To B, hosted by actress Biola Adebayo, Kosoko emphasized the need for Nigerians to consider the circumstances that existed before Tinubu took office. “Things are not as bad as some people have claimed,” he said, adding, “Go and check the majority of those people. Before Tinubu came, what were they eating?”

When Adebayo inquired about tangible evidence that ordinary Nigerians could reference to support the notion that the Tinubu administration is making progress, Kosoko maintained that the President is diligently working to resolve issues inherited from previous administrations.

He noted the implementation of a student loan scheme as one of the government’s initiatives and encouraged beneficiaries to share their experiences and how the program has assisted them. Kosoko stated that the administration has committed to supporting graduates who struggle to find employment.

“Such initiatives deserve public attention,” he remarked.

Kosoko, who has been politically active since 1978, suggested that personal political ambitions sometimes cloud individuals’ perceptions of governmental progress. He claimed that some Nigerians recognize the administration’s achievements but allow their political interests to shape their opinions.

“Those in the opposition know the truth. They know that the man is on the right track, but ambition is affecting their thinking,” Kosoko said.
