In the wake of the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings, concerns have emerged regarding the impact on the faith of his followers. Woli Agba, a comedian and pastor, addressed these concerns in an Instagram post, urging individuals to prioritize their health and well-being.
After rumors of Toluwanisings’ death circulated online, Agba and other associates implored the public not to assume he had died, emphasizing their prayers for divine intervention. However, following more than 10 hours of prayer, the family confirmed his passing at approximately 11:00 PM on Wednesday.
The tragic event has prompted mixed reactions on social media, with some questioning why a miracle did not occur, given Toluwanisings’ status as a gospel artist. Agba expressed his disappointment over the loss of faith among many, noting that some are challenging the efficacy of prayer.
He differentiated between the power of prayer and the necessity for individuals to care for their own health. Agba emphasized that events such as Jesus Christ resurrecting Lazarus should not imply that similar miracles are guaranteed for everyone. “Miracles are not accessible to everyone,” he stated, stressing the importance of treating miraculous occurrences with respect.
Agba shared insights from a conversation with Apostle Wole Oladiyan, highlighting the importance of adequate rest for physical and mental well-being. He urged those in the entertainment industry to prioritize self-care, even amid the pursuit of career success.
“Remember, this body is our container,” Agba pointed out. “When we praise God in this body and it is weak, we cannot continue that praise as we should.”
Agba’s message serves as a reminder that while faith and prayer are vital, personal health should not be overlooked.
